Qigong Classes

Our weekly sessions take place in person at the modernised, calming Medway Adult Education Centre in Rochester. We practice inside their beautifully designed wellbeing studio, which provides a light, airy, and highly positive atmosphere perfect for mindfulness. The venue is fully accessible and conveniently located at the Rochester Community Hub on Eastgate (ME1 1EW), with local parking nearby at Blue Boar Lane.

The best way to understand Qigong is to feel it. Join our 10-week journey to stretch your body, clear your mind, and restore your energy. No experience is needed—just show up as you are.

Yoga classes

I will be running two yoga classes for Medway Adult Education: Yoga - All Abilities and Gentle yoga.

Gentle yoga is suitable for:

  • Those that enjoy a more gentle class
  • Beginners
  • Seniors
  • Bigger bodies
  • Movement based issues Like Parkinson's or MS
  • Ill health or recovery, but mobile and with medical permission
  • Wheelchairs welcome
  • Knee/hip replacements
    (if in doubt always check with your health professional before booking a class)

We will be:

  • Doing less directly on our knees and wrists
  • Having the opportunity to use the chair or wall more in class
  • Working with a particular focus on balance but also with strength, flexibility, mobility and relaxation.
  • Working towards full or modified versions of yoga poses

This approach is great for mental health with breathing, relaxation and mindful movement as well as meeting friends and getting out of the house.

There is a lift to the studio, which is lovely and fully equipped, as is Jasper's Community Café for post-yoga coffee or lunch.
